Paid Search Specialist

Chacka Marketing is seeking talented individuals to join our team as a Paid Search Media Specialist, reporting to a Digital Media Manager.


The Specialist is an integral part of the client success team and is ultimately the proprietor of his/her book of accounts and responsible for the ongoing management, growth and success of those accounts.  This position’s primary focus is on data analysis and execution with an opportunity to work on more advanced paid search campaign responsibilities, as well as in related media such a Display, Paid Social, etc. 
A successful Specialist will be revenue-minded, have an entrepreneurial mindset and be passionate about our client partners' success.

Operational Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the management and execution of search marketing campaigns for client accounts from top to bottom under the supervision of a Digital Marketing Manager

  • Develop comprehensive search marketing campaigns including keyword lists, ad copy, landing page selection and submitting to search engines

  • Monitoring client budgets and adjusting bids and budgets to achieve client-defined goals and objectives

  • Ad hoc analysis for client accounts

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the paid search channel, and hone existing client facing skills

  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of each client’s business in order to customize search marketing strategy plans

  • Demonstrate proficiency and technical skills in Excel, 3rd party tools and SEM platforms like Kenshoo and/or Marin Software

  • Monitor client, competitor, and industry changes

  • Acting on brand policing recommendations from 3rd party monitoring tools

  • Execute, iterate and analyze testing (ad copy, landing page, bid, Geo, etc.)

  • Compile data needed for QBRs and eventually compile entire QBRs unassisted

  • Stay current on industry news





  • 1-2 years’ experience in digital advertising

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Business or related field

  • Must be results-driven, enjoy problem-solving and passionate about being challenged

  • Possess and demonstrate the ability to think analytically

  • Strong quantitative analysis and reporting skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google Ads and Bing/Microsoft Ads

  • Solid proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint for in-depth analysis, client-facing reports, and presentations

  • Ability to prioritize and strategize based on company and client goals

  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills are a must

  • Strong desire and ability to think creatively, solve problems, and use professional judgment

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and work calmly under pressure

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times

  • Self-starter

  • Comfortable communicating on phone calls or in-person meetings with client partners and peers

  • Google Ads, Bing/Microsoft Ads or Kenshoo certification a plus
