Business Development

Chacka Marketing is seeking a strong self-starter who is able to initiate, nurture and develop new business opportunities.  Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, he/she will be asked to be part of strategic discussions, projects, and planning to connect Chacka's services to client needs in a mutually beneficial partnership. This requires the individual to interface with all levels of the organization (managers, senior executive "C' level, legal and finance departments) in order to negotiate and execute agreements. 

Qualified candidates should be revenue-minded, have an entrepreneurial mindset and genuine passion to make our client partners successful.  This individual must also possess strong communication and negotiation skills, relentless attention to detail, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm about Chacka and what we do.

Operational Responsibilities:


  • Work with prospective leads to identify business needs, and help architect solutions with the ultimate goal of creating valuable, long-lasting business relationships

  • Build and present business cases for new partner initiatives and potential revenue models

  • Lead and generate new business opportunities, which includes pursuing new opportunities, creating/evaluating proposals and driving negotiations with potential partners.

  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue expectations, ensuring a pipeline of new business opportunities 

  • Collaborate internally across sales, executive leadership, finance, operations and client service teams.

  • Navigate internal and external deal routing processes for budgetary, business and legal approval(s).

  • Coordinate with Chacka leadership to identify market trends and strategize on developing/adapting new solutions.

  • Conduct market analysis and organize competitive intelligence.

  • Passion for consultative sales and business development

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Responsible for meeting Organizational revenue targets quarterly



Organizational Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to thought leadership materials and presentation that further distinguish Chacka as leaders in the space

  • Monitor the latest trends in digital media, including advertising formats, channels and emerging technologies in order to develop proactive recommendations as to how client partners can benefit

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen Chacka’s client partner relationships that promote retention and growth

  • Identify ‘client wins’ on a regular cadence and showcase those successes in the form of blogs, white papers, case studies, etc.

  • Share insights regarding service and solutions enhancements, changes, new offerings, and strategy to shape the direction of the organization





  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency environment dealing with sophisticated paid media initiatives 

  • Comfort and proficiency in consultative selling at enterprise level 

  • Proven track record managing and developing new business relationships 

  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and associated legal terms 

  • Ability to sell based on value, not price 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, simultaneously, in an extremely fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally 

  • Possess a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, internet business models, and prominent digital technology and service providers related to: Paid Search, Paid Social, Performance Display 

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate complex thoughts and ideas to get buy in from other individuals 

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. redlining word documents, financial modeling in excel, presentations in PowerPoint). 

  • Strong desire and ability to think creatively to solve problems and use professional judgment 

  • Industry certifications a plus 

  • A solid network of contacts with advertisers and agencies 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Business or related field
