Paid Social Media Associate Director

Chacka Marketing is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Paid Social Associate Director and report to the Digital Media Director. The Associate Director will drive strategy and oversee all aspects of the agency’s social media accounts, from ideation to execution, as well as oversee and guide a team of Social & Digital Media Specialists. This individual will be the face of the agency’s Social service offerings. He/She will be responsible for ensuring that all Paid Social Media deliverables are presented on time and of a high quality, and that all social advertising campaigns meet client objectives. This person will also be accountable for the Paid Social team’s revenue contributions quarterly.


A successful Strategist will be revenue-minded and have an entrepreneurial mindset. Specific Responsibilities Include:

Operational Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all phases of social media on-boarding, project planning, research, design, content development (as needed), execution, and ongoing analysis

  • Manage a team of Digital and Social Media Specialists

  • Communicate directly with clients to explain social media plans, obtain proper approvals, and constantly showcase optimization efforts to improve campaign effectiveness

  • Contribute to Business Development pitches in the form of research, prospective client presentations and campaign audits

  • Develop long term execution plans from client’s stated business objectives and oversee implementation

  • Maximize impact of ad spend by analyzing performance of paid social campaigns and provide optimization guidance to reach performance goals

  • Approve creative content from internal and external teams

  • Oversee content analysis and optimization

  • Manages project assignments, timelines and workflow across the team

  • Facilitate and manage forecasting



Organizational Responsibilities:


  • Identify and articulate best practices for managing social campaigns. Document those best practices, iterate, evolve and repeat.

  • Responsible for meeting Organizational revenue targets quarterly

  • Responsible for ideating means by which revenue targets can be met quarterly

  • Manage requests from external groups including, Digital Media Managers, PR, Business Dev teams, etc.

  • Monitor the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies in order to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services

  • Monitor the impact of social media campaigns, analyzing and reporting on effectiveness internally on a weekly basis.

  • Identify ‘client wins’ on a regular cadence and showcase those successes in the form of blogs, white papers, case studies, etc.

  • Motivate and develop all members of the Social team, identifying and capitalizing on team member strengths

  • Recruit, interview, hire and train social talent as needed

  • Embrace, nurture and reinforce the organization’s core values and services





  • 3-4 years’ experience in Social Media Marketing

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising, or related field

  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Proven track record of successfully managing paid social media marketing campaigns

  • Strong project management skills

  • Highly proficient in Facebook Business Manager and Power Editor

  • Ability to handle, prioritize and delegate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to articulate key insights and trends from research and benchmarking data

  • Self-starting professional who understands digital strategy and can implement/manage multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives while maintaining a positive attitude and energy

  • Exhibits solid communication skills in order to effectively present strategic and tactical plans to clients and internal teams

  • Possess an innate desire to exceed expectations

  • Exceptional sense of creativity

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Organized in both presentation and conduct

  • Ability to think outside the box

  • Kenshoo Social Certification a plus

  • Graphic design ability a plus
